This is the website privacy notice of TrainMeHireMe. The use of ‘we’, ‘us, ‘our’ means TrainMeHireMe.

We at TrainMeHireMe will always respect your right to have your personal data processed in a safe and secure manner. This privacy notice will explain our firm commitment to protecting this right.

Who we are & how to contact us

TrainMeHireMe is an online platform helping job seekers to link up with employers and training providers in the construction industry. Jobs seekers can find, apply or express an interest in a job vacancy or training course. Employers, recruitment agencies and training providers working within this industry can advertise their vacancies and training courses.

We are located at TrainMeHireMe, Suite A2, No. 1 Charlotte Quay, Limerick, Ireland.

Data Controller

TrainMeHireMe is the Data Controller for personal data we process about you such as where you create your job seeker profile or where you, (the employer, recruitment agency, training company) create your company profile.

Where you send an application via this website for a job or course to our customer (the employer, recruitment agency or training provider), both our customer and TrainMeHireMe are Joint Controllers of your data. In this case we will have an arrangement in place to ensure your personal data is processed in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

Who does this privacy notice relate to

This notice summarises our data processing practices in relation to you when you visit this website. For offline processing of personal data, you can request a copy of our Data Protection Policy.

This website is intended for employers, recruitment agencies and training providers who wish to advertise job vacancies and relevant training courses for the construction industry, and job seekers who wish to apply for these jobs and training courses.

Data Protection

We take our responsibility to protect your data seriously and will not collect any personal data about you on this website without your clear knowledge and permission. Any personal data which you volunteer to us will be treated strictly in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988-2018 and the ePrivacy Regulations S.I. 336/2011.

Personal data we keep about you

We collect data submitted by you via this website under the following headings:

Job Seekers data such as name, email and telephone/mobile number, details contained in your profile such as qualifications, training courses, employment history, eligibility to work, interests, job & communications preferences and your login details when you access your profile.

Customer (employer, recruitment agency, training provider) data such as company name, contact name, email, telephone/mobile number, credit card details, bank details, VAT details and your login details when you access your account.

Each time our website is accessed we will process technical data such as your IP address and address of the server you are using, type of browser, date & time you access the site and the internet address linking to our site. We may also use temporary “session” cookies which enable a visitor’s web browser to remember which pages on this website have already been visited. Please refer to our Cookie Notice for further information.

The purpose of collecting your personal data

  • Advertise job vacancies and training courses.
  • Apply for a job vacancy or a training course.
  • Provide you with the information you requested.
  • Investigate and process a complaint made by you.
  • Adhere to our legislative requirements as required by law.
  • Analyse your use of this site to help us to improve, administer and diagnose problems with our server and website.

Most of the personal data we process via this website will be directly supplied by you. When you apply for a job or training course via this website you will transfer your personal data to the organisation you are applying to. TrainMeHireMe is not responsible for the processing of your application once it is downloaded and processed by this organisation.

  • Processing that is required under applicable law (e.g., where we account for payments made by you when you advertise with us).
  • Processing necessary for us to pursue our legitimate interests (e.g., where we contact you with service or technical updates for the purpose of ensuring the smooth running of the website).

We do not process special category of data via this website.

Your rights

Under data protection law, you as a ‘data subject’ have certain rights. Subject to certain restrictions, you can exercise these rights in relation to the personal data we process.

As a job seeker, where you have indicated, we may notify you about jobs and training courses that may be of interest to you.

We do not sell or distribute your personal data to third parties for purposes of allowing them to market products and services to you.

We operate a number of social media channels (Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn). This notice includes how TrainMeHireMe will use any data collected from those channels. However, it does not cover how the providers of social media websites will use your information. Our website contains links to third party websites that we believe may be of interest to you. (Examples include the Construction Industry Federation, Health & Safety Authority).
